Planning a winter getaway from Dubai? There is encouraging news for travellers as airlines restore services to Dubai International Airport (DXB) ahead of the busy winter holiday season.
According to a Gulf News report published on 24 October 2026, up to 36 weekly flights between Dubai and Europe are set to return between late October and December. The report also highlights the restoration of several important connections:
Lufthansa: Dubai–Munich services are scheduled to resume on 25 October, followed by Dubai–Frankfurt on 26 October.
SWISS: Daily Dubai–Zurich flights are scheduled to return from 27 October.
Eurowings: Dubai connections to Berlin, Stuttgart, and Cologne-Bonn are scheduled to resume from 1 November.
Aegean Airlines: Athens–Dubai services have resumed, with daily flights planned from 26 October.
Philippine Airlines: The carrier has returned to Dubai, restoring another option for travel between Dubai and Manila. Gulf News reports four weekly flights each for Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific on the route.

These changes could make winter holiday planning more flexible for UAE residents, visitors, and families travelling internationally.
However, a returning route does not guarantee that every flight will operate as scheduled. Check your airline’s latest timetable, booking confirmation, and airport updates before leaving for DXB.
